Ingredients
2 slices whole-grain bread
1 ripe avocado
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Toast the whole-grain bread slices until golden brown.
2. Cut the ripe avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
3. Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the avocado and mash until smooth.
4. Spread the mashed avocado evenly over the toasted bread slices.
5. Drizzle olive oil over the top and sprinkle red pepper flakes if desired.
Storage
Store any leftover avocado mash in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
