Hearty Baked Pasta Delight

A time-honored baked pasta dish combining rich marinara sauce, creamy cheeses, and savory spices, delivering a satisfying comfort meal for the whole family.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
12 oz pasta shells
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup ricotta cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
3. Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
4. Add ground beef, cook until browned and cooked through.
5. Stir in marinara sauce, oregano, and basil; simmer for 10 minutes.
6. Cook pasta shells according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
7. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked pasta, meat sauce, ricotta, and half of the mozzarella.
8. Transfer mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
9. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
10. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 15-20 minutes until heated through.
