Autumnal Apple Crisp Delight

Ingredients

5 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup apple cider
1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large bowl, mix sliced apples with apple cider and set aside.
3. In another bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
4. Cut in the chilled butter using a pastry cutter or fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
5. Stir in the chopped pecans.
6. Spread the apple mixture evenly in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
7. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples.
8. Bake in preheated oven for 40-45 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Reheating

Reheat in a 350°F oven for 10-15 minutes or until warmed through.
