Zucchini and Potato Smash

Ingredients

2 medium zucchinis (
1 lb), sliced
2 medium potatoes (
1 lb), peeled and cubed
1 tbsp unsalted butter
1/4 cup of warm water or vegetable broth

Instructions

1. Prepare the vegetables by washing the zucchinis and peeling the potatoes.
2. Slice the zucchinis and cube the potatoes to ensure even cooking.
3. Place the potatoes in a steamer basket over boiling water and steam for 10-12 minutes until tender.
4. Add the zucchini slices to the steamer and continue steaming for an additional 5-7 minutes until both vegetables are soft.
5. Transfer the steamed vegetables to a large bowl and allow them to cool slightly.
6. Add the unsalted butter and a quarter cup of warm water or vegetable broth.
7. Use a potato masher to smash the vegetables to a soft, chunky consistency.
8. Serve warm, ensuring the dish is at a safe temperature for your baby.
