Ingredients
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 cups marinara sauce
1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a small bowl, mix Italian breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, dried oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
3. Coat chicken breasts with olive oil, then dredge in breadcrumb mixture, ensuring an even coat on all sides.
4. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.
6. Remove the skillet from the oven and pour marinara sauce evenly over the chicken.
7. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top and drizzle with balsamic vinegar.
8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
9. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
