Ingredients
5 lbs Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup old-fashioned oats
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine sliced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss until apples are well-coated.
3. Transfer the apple mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading evenly.
4. In another bowl, stir together flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt. Pour melted butter over the mixture and mix until crumbly.
5. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples in the baking dish.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
7. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
