Ingredients
4 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
pinch of salt
8 slices brioche bread
2 tbsp unsalted butter
Maple syrup, for serving
Sliced almonds, for garnish
Instructions
1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, almond extract, sugar, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
2. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter.
3. Dip each slice of brioche bread into the egg mixture, ensuring it is fully soaked but not overly saturated.
4. Place the soaked bread slices onto the hot skillet, cooking for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
5. Repeat with the remaining bread slices, adding more butter as needed.
6. Serve warm, topped with maple syrup and sliced almonds.
