Traditional Turkey Meatloaf

Ingredients

2 lbs ground turkey
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup ketchup
2 large eggs
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup ketchup for topping

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, 1/4 cup ketchup, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
3. Mix until just combined, ensuring not to overmix.
4. Transfer the mixture to a lightly greased loaf pan, spreading evenly.
5. Spread the remaining 1/2 cup ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
7. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Storage

Store leftover meatloaf in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat slices in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through, about 10-15 minutes.
