Traditional Tuna Noodle Casserole

A heartwarming Tuna Noodle Casserole that combines tender noodles, savory tuna, and vibrant peas in a creamy sauce, topped with crunchy breadcrumbs, perfect for any family dinner.

Ingredients

12 oz egg noodles
2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
1 cup frozen peas, thawed
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
2 tbsp butter, melted
1/4 tsp black pepper
Salt to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
3. In a large bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, cheddar cheese, and black pepper.
4. Add cooked noodles, tuna, and peas to the mixture; stir gently to combine.
5. Pour mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
6. In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter; sprinkle over the casserole.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
8. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes or until heated through, or microwave individual portions until hot.
