Traditional Sugar Cookie Frosting
A creamy and smooth frosting that perfectly complements sugar cookies, adding a delightful sweetness and a festive appearance.

Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2-3 tbsp milk
Food coloring (optional)
Instructions
1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy and smooth.
2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
3. Stir in the vanilla extract.
4. Add the milk, one tablespoon at a time, to achieve the desired consistency.
5. If desired, divide the frosting into separate bowls and add food coloring to each.
6. Spread or pipe onto cooled sugar cookies.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Reheating
Allow to come to room temperature and re-whip if necessary before use.
