Traditional Sausage Bites

Ingredients

1 lb pork sausage
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the pork sausage and shredded cheddar cheese until well blended.
3. Add the all-purpose flour, softened butter, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt to the sausage and cheese mixture. Mix until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each ball.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.
6. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Storage

Store cooked sausage balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes or until heated through, or microwave on medium power for 1-2 minutes.
