Traditional Peach Cobbler

Ingredients
4 cups peeled and sliced fresh peaches
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup whole milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large saucepan, combine the peeled and sliced peaches, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar. Stir well over medium heat until the sugars dissolve and form a syrup, about 5 minutes.
3. Melt the unsalted butter in a 9x13-inch baking dish in the preheated oven.
4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
5. Slowly add the whole milk to the dry ingredients, stirring until a smooth batter forms.
6. Add the vanilla extract and ground cinnamon to the batter, mixing well.
7. Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir.
8. Spoon the peach mixture gently over the batter. Again, do not stir.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cobbler is set.
10. Allow the peach cobbler to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Reheat individual portions in the microwave for 20-30 seconds on medium heat, or reheat the entire dish in a 350°F oven for 10-15 minutes.
