Traditional Hash Brown Bake

Ingredients

3 cups frozen shredded hash browns
1 cup sour cream
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup melted butter
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup cornflake cereal, crushed

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, mix together the hash browns, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese, melted butter, chopped onion, salt, and black pepper.
3. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
4. Sprinkle the crushed cornflake cereal evenly over the top of the hash brown mixture.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
6. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat individual servings in the microwave for 1-2 minutes, or until heated through.
