Traditional Eggnog Coffee

Ingredients

2 cups brewed coffee
1 cup eggnog
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Whipped cream, for topping

Instructions

1. Brew 2 cups of your favorite coffee.
2. In a saucepan over medium heat, warm the eggnog, nutmeg, cinnamon, sugar, and vanilla extract, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
3. Pour the brewed coffee into mugs, filling them halfway.
4. Top each mug with the warm eggnog mixture, stirring gently to combine.
5. Add a dollop of whipped cream on top, if desired, and serve immediately.

Storage

Store any leftover eggnog coffee in the refrigerator in a sealed container for up to 2 days.

Reheating

Reheat gently on the stovetop over low heat, stirring occasionally, until warm. Do not boil.
