Traditional Cucumber Salad

This refreshing cucumber salad balances tangy vinegar and sweet sugar for a classic taste, perfect for a summer side dish.

Ingredients

2 medium cucumbers
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill

Instructions

1. Peel the cucumbers and slice them thinly.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper until the sugar is dissolved.
3. Add the cucumber slices to the bowl and toss to coat them in the dressing.
4. Sprinkle with chopped fresh dill and gently mix to combine.
5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Best served cold, reheating not recommended.
