Traditional Blueberry Loaf

A delightful and moist homemade blueberry loaf perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat.

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups fresh blueberries

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk.
7. Gently fold in the blueberries until evenly distributed.
8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
9. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
10. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Storage

Store the loaf at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to one week.

Reheating

Reheat individual slices in the microwave for 10-15 seconds or enjoy at room temperature.
