Traditional Baby Back Ribs

Ingredients

2 racks of baby back ribs (about 4-5 lbs total)
1/4 cup paprika
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 cups BBQ sauce
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
2. Prepare the dry rub by mixing together paprika, brown sugar, black pepper, salt, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper in a bowl.
3. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for more tender meat.
4. Generously coat both sides of the ribs with the dry rub.
5. Place the ribs on a baking sheet, cover them with foil, and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours until the meat is tender.
6. Preheat your grill to medium heat.
7. Combine BBQ sauce and apple cider vinegar in a bowl and set aside.
8. Remove ribs from the oven and brush both sides with the BBQ sauce mixture.
9. Place the ribs on the grill and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, basting frequently with the sauce and turning occasionally until the ribs are caramelized.
10. Remove from grill, let rest for 10 minutes, then slice and serve.

Storage

Store leftover ribs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

To reheat, wrap the ribs in foil and place in a preheated oven at 300°F (150°C) for about 20 minutes or until heated through.
