Tiramisu Trifles

Ingredients
16 ladyfingers
1 cup strong brewed coffee
1/4 cup coffee liqueur
8 oz mascarpone cheese
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp cocoa powder
2 oz dark chocolate shavings (optional)
Instructions
1. Brew the coffee and allow it to cool. Mix in the coffee liqueur.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until smooth and creamy.
3. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture and layer them in the bottom of the cups.
4. Add a layer of the mascarpone cream over the soaked ladyfingers.
5. Repeat layers until cups are full, finishing with a cream layer.
6. Dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with dark chocolate shavings if desired.
7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving to set.
Storage
Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Not suitable for reheating. Serve chilled.
