Ingredients

1 medium head of green cabbage
4 slices bacon
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. Begin by chopping the cabbage into bite-sized pieces.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, reserving the bacon fat in the pan.
3. Add chopped onion to the bacon fat and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.
5. Add cabbage to the skillet, tossing to combine with the onion and garlic. Season with salt and black pepper.
6. Cook, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender but still slightly crisp, about 10-12 minutes.
7. Crumble the cooked bacon over the cabbage, mix well, and serve immediately.

Storage

Store any leftover fried cabbage in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating
