Timeless Chicken Stir Fry

Ingredients
1 lb chicken breast, sliced
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 inch ginger, minced
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 cup broccoli florets
1 carrot, julienned
1/2 cup snow peas
1/4 cup water chestnuts, sliced
2 green onions, chopped
2 tbsp cornstarch
Black pepper to taste
Steamed white rice for serving
Instructions
1. In a bowl, mix chicken slices with 1 tbsp soy sauce and cornstarch, set aside to marinate for 10 minutes.
2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
3. Add garlic and ginger, stir-fry until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
4. Add marinated chicken to the pan, stir-fry until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
5. Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.
6. In the same pan, add sesame oil, then add bell pepper, broccoli, carrot, snow peas, and water chestnuts. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
7. Return the chicken to the pan.
8. Add the remaining soy sauce and oyster sauce, stir to combine and heat through.
9. Garnish with green onions and a dash of black pepper.
10. Serve hot over steamed white rice.
Storage
Store leftover stir fry in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Reheat in a skillet over medium heat until heated through, adding a splash of water if necessary to loosen the sauce.
