Timeless Baked Spaghetti Delight

Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
12 oz spaghetti
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
3. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
4. Stir in marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
5. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
6. In a large casserole dish, layer half of the spaghetti, half of the meat sauce, and half of the mozzarella cheese.
7. Repeat the layering with the remaining spaghetti, meat sauce, and mozzarella cheese.
8. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
10. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Storage
Store leftover casserole in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Reheat individual servings in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or until heated through. Alternatively, reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
