Ingredients
12 fresh jalapenos
8 oz cream cheese, softened
4 oz sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp honey
12 strips of bacon
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Slice jalapenos in half lengthwise and remove seeds and membranes.
3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, smoked paprika, honey, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
4. Fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture.
5. Wrap each stuffed jalapeno half with a strip of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
6. Mix brown sugar and olive oil, then brush over the bacon-wrapped jalapenos.
7. Place jalapenos on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
8. Bake for 25 minutes or until bacon is crispy and cheese is bubbly.
9. Let cool slightly before serving.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Reheat in an oven preheated to 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes or until warm throughout.
