1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil

Instructions

1. Toast the whole-grain bread slices until golden brown.
2. Halve the avocado, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash with a fork, adding salt, pepper, lemon juice, and olive oil.
3. Spread the avocado mixture evenly over the toasted bread slices.
