Ingredients
8 slices of brioche bread
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
3 large eggs
1/2 cup whole milk
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp unsalted butter
Powdered sugar, for dusting
Maple syrup, for serving
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
2. Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on four slices of brioche bread.
3. Evenly distribute the sliced strawberries over the cream cheese layer.
4. Top with the remaining slices of bread to make a sandwich.
5. In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, and ground cinnamon.
6. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add butter.
7. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
8. Cook each sandwich in the skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
9. Remove from skillet and let them cool slightly.
10. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with maple syrup.
