Ingredients
3 ripe avocados
1 medium jalapeño, finely chopped
1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 small tomato, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
Instructions
1. Halve the avocados and remove the pits.
2. Scoop the avocado flesh into a mixing bowl.
3. Add the chopped jalapeño, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
4. Use a fork to mash the ingredients together until you reach your desired consistency.
5. Gently fold in the diced tomato and minced garlic.
6. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
7. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or vegetable sticks.
Storage
Store guacamole in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Press plastic wrap directly onto the surface to minimize browning.
