Ingredients

5 cups fresh peaches, sliced
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup bourbon
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup whole milk
1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine the peaches, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, brown sugar, bourbon, lemon juice, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and 1/4 tsp salt. Mix well and set aside for 10 minutes.
3. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup granulated sugar, baking powder, and 1/8 tsp salt.
4. Add the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
5. Pour the peach mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish, then spread the batter evenly over the top.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
7. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
