Ingredients
1 lb ground pork
2 links bratwurst sausage, casings removed
1 medium apple, grated
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground clove
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
4 bratwurst buns
1/2 cup sauerkraut
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
Instructions
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, bratwurst sausage, grated apple, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
2. Form the mixture into four equal-sized patties.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
4. Toast bratwurst buns on a grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
5. Serve the patties in buns, topped with sauerkraut and Dijon mustard.
Storage
Store leftover patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Reheat patties in a skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side until heated through.
