Slow Cooker Savory Chicken

Ingredients
4 lbs chicken thighs
1 large onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (optional for thickening)
Instructions
1. Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
2. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic over the chicken.
3. In a bowl, mix the chicken broth, soy sauce, honey, olive oil, thyme, oregano, black pepper, and salt.
4. Pour the mixture over the chicken and vegetables in the slow cooker.
5. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender.
6. Optional: If a thicker sauce is desired, remove the chicken and stir in the cornstarch mixture. Cook on high for an additional 15 minutes.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop until warmed through. Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
