2 cups vegetable broth

1/2 tsp black pepper
Salt to taste
1/4 cup heavy cream (optional)
Instructions
1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
2. Add onions and garlic; sauté until onions are translucent, about 5 minutes.
3. Stir in the mushrooms and cook until they are softened, approximately 7 minutes.
4. Add flour, stirring constantly for 2 minutes to form a roux.

6. Add thyme, rosemary, black pepper, and salt, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes until thickened.
7. (Optional) Stir in heavy cream for a richer texture and simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
