Savory Herb Turkey Stuffing with Cranberries

Ingredients

1 loaf of sourdough bread cut into 1-inch cubes
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 large yellow onion chopped
3 cloves garlic minced
2 cups celery chopped
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary chopped
1 tablespoon fresh thyme chopped
1/2 cup dried cranberries
2 cups turkey or chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Spread the sourdough bread cubes on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 10 minutes until lightly golden.
3. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sautéing until translucent.
4. Add celery, rosemary, and thyme, cooking for 5 minutes until fragrant.
5. In a large bowl, combine toasted bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, dried cranberries, and broth.
6. Season with salt and pepper, and gently toss until bread is evenly moistened.
7. Transfer mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
9. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until top is crisp.
10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Preheat oven to 325°F and reheat in a covered baking dish for 15 minutes or until heated through.
