Ingredients
1 lb ground pork sausage
8 large eggs
2 cups whole milk
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
8 slices of whole grain bread, cubed
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
2. In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and crumbly, about 8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.
4. Add the cooked sausage, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, green onions, parsley, and basil to the egg mixture and stir until well combined.
5. Layer the bread cubes evenly in the prepared baking dish.
6. Pour the egg and sausage mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring even coverage.
7. Press down slightly on the mixture to help the bread absorb the liquid.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown.
9. Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
