Savory Herb and Cheese Garlic Bread

Ingredients

1 loaf Italian bread
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise and place it cut-side up on a baking sheet.
3. In a bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, grated Parmesan, dried oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously on top of the buttered bread.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7. Switch the oven to broil and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to achieve a golden, crispy top.
8. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
