Ingredients
8 oz spaghetti
2 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, finely diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup tomato paste
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
2. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste, along with basil, oregano, thyme, and red pepper flakes. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
5. Mix cooked spaghetti with the tomato sauce and season with salt and pepper.
6. Transfer the spaghetti mixture into a greased baking dish.
7. Top with shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
