Ingredients
3 lbs country-style pork ribs
1 cup barbecue sauce
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 large onion, sliced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork ribs on all sides until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.
3. Place the sliced onions and minced garlic at the bottom of the crock pot.
4. Layer the seared pork ribs on top of the onions and garlic.
5. Pour the barbecue sauce mixture over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.
6. Add the chicken broth around the ribs in the crock pot.
7. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or until the ribs are tender and the meat is falling off the bone.
