Savory Chicken & Herb Stuffing Bake
A delightful twist on the classic chicken and stuffing casserole, this dish combines tender chicken breasts with a rich herb-infused stuffing and a creamy mushroom sauce, offering a comforting and hearty meal for the whole family.

Ingredients
2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 box (6 oz) herb stuffing mix
1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup chicken broth
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp dried thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Brown chicken on both sides until lightly golden, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
3. In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, chicken broth, and dried thyme until smooth. Set aside.
4. Prepare the stuffing mix according to package instructions, then stir in the melted butter.
5. Layer the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish and pour the mushroom sauce over the chicken.
6. Spread the prepared stuffing evenly on top of the chicken and sauce.
7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the stuffing layer.
8. Cover with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes or until heated through.
