Savory Apple Sage Crock Pot Pork Chops

Ingredients
4 bone-in pork chops
2 large apples, sliced
1 large onion, sliced
2 cups chicken broth
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp fresh sage, chopped
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the pork chops on both sides.
2. Place sliced apples and onions at the bottom of the crock pot.
3. Arrange browned pork chops on top of the apple and onion layer.
4. In a bowl, whisk together chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, fresh sage, salt, and black pepper.
5. Pour the broth mixture over the pork chops in the crock pot.
6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until pork is tender.
7. Remove pork chops and keep warm. Strain liquid into a saucepan.
8. Mix all-purpose flour with a little water to make a slurry, and stir into the broth.
9. Simmer on medium heat until the gravy thickens, then serve over the pork chops.
Storage
Store any leftover pork chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Reheat in the microwave for 2-3 minutes on high or in a skillet on low heat until warmed through.
