Rustic Herb-Infused Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients

2 tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
2. Add onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
3. Stir in garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Add crushed tomatoes and tomato paste, mixing well.
5. Season with oregano, basil, thyme, sugar, salt, and pepper.
6. Bring to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
7. Stir in fresh parsley before serving.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Reheating

Reheat gently on the stove over low heat until warmed through.
