Rustic Herb-infused Bread

A delightful twist on classic bread with a blend of aromatic herbs, perfect for elevating any meal.

Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp salt
1/4 oz active dry yeast
1 1/2 cups warm water (110°F)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp dried rosemary
1 tbsp dried thyme
1 tbsp dried oregano

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and herbs.
2. Dissolve the yeast in warm water, then add to the dry ingredients along with olive oil.
3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
5. Punch down the dough and shape into a loaf.
6. Place the loaf on a greased baking sheet, cover, and let rise again for 30 minutes.
7. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
8. Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes, or until the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
9. Let cool on a wire rack before slicing.

Storage

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat slices in a preheated oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes or until warmed through.
