Ingredients

12 oz bowtie pasta
1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
1 medium onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage, cooking and breaking up with a spoon until browned.
3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
4. Stir in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
5. Reduce heat and stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, oregano, and basil, cooking until the sauce is slightly thickened.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
