Ingredients
2 cups fresh blackberries
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup milk
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a mixing bowl, combine blackberries and 1/2 cup sugar, and set aside.
3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
4. Stir in melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the flour mixture until smooth.
5. Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
6. Spoon the blackberry mixture over the batter.
7. Optionally, sprinkle cinnamon on top for added flavor.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the crust comes out clean.
9. Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving warm.
