Ingredients
1 lb spaghetti
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups marinara sauce
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions; drain.
3. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
4. Add onion and garlic to the beef; sauté until onion is translucent.
5. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
6. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
7. Gradually whisk in milk, salt, and pepper, cooking until thickened.
8. Remove sauce from heat and stir in Parmesan and cream cheese until smooth.
9. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the spaghetti, beef sauce, and cheese sauce.
10. Repeat layers and top with mozzarella cheese.
11. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
12. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Reheat in the oven at 325°F until heated through or in the microwave for 2-3 minutes.
