Prosciutto-Wrapped Asparagus

These Prosciutto-Wrapped Asparagus spears are a simple yet elegant appetizer. The salty prosciutto complements the fresh, crisp asparagus for a tasty bite-sized treat.

Ingredients

1 lb asparagus
8 oz prosciutto
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 lemon (zested)

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Trim the woody ends off the asparagus spears.
3. Drizzle olive oil over the asparagus and sprinkle with black pepper and garlic powder.
4. Cut each prosciutto slice in half lengthwise.
5. Wrap each asparagus spear with a strip of prosciutto, starting from the bottom and spiraling up to the top.
6. Place the wrapped spears on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the prosciutto is crispy and the asparagus is tender.
8. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with lemon zest before serving.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

To reheat, place in a preheated oven at 350°F for 5 minutes until warmed through.
