Old-Fashioned Hamburger Pie

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
1 can (10.5 oz) condensed tomato soup
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 package (14 oz) refrigerated pie crusts (2 crusts)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until beef is browned; drain.
3. Stir in mixed vegetables, tomato soup, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce; cook for 5 minutes.
4. Remove from heat and stir in 1 1/2 cups of cheese.
5. Place one pie crust in a 9-inch pie plate.
6. Spoon beef mixture into pie crust.
7. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup of cheese on top.
8. Cover with second pie crust, seal edges, and cut slits in the top to vent.
9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
10. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Storage

Store leftover Hamburger Pie in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat slices in the oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes until warmed through.
