Mashed Sweet Potatoes with Maple Syrup

Ingredients

4 medium sweet potatoes (
2 lbs)
1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Peel and cube the sweet potatoes.
2. Place the sweet potatoes in a large pot and cover with water.
3. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 20 minutes.
4. Drain the sweet potatoes and return to the pot.
5. Add the milk, butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
6. Mash the sweet potatoes with a potato masher or electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
7. Adjust seasoning if necessary, and serve warm.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating
