Leftover Ham Compote Delight
A delightful twist on traditional compote, this dish combines leftover ham with fruit for a sweet and savory experience that is sure to become a family favorite.

Ingredients
2 cups diced leftover ham
1 cup diced apples
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp butter
Instructions
1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
2. Add diced ham and sauté for 3 minutes until slightly crispy.
3. Stir in diced apples and raisins, cook for another 2 minutes.
4. Add brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, pepper, and salt.
5. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens and the apples are tender.
6. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
Storage
Store leftover compote in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Reheating
Reheat gently in a saucepan over low heat until warmed through, or microwave on medium power for 1-2 minutes.
