Lebanese Hummus
A creamy and smooth traditional Lebanese hummus, perfect for pairing with pita bread or as a delightful addition to a mezze platter. Made with freshly mashed chickpeas, nutty tahini, bright lemon juice, and aromatic garlic, this hummus is a quintessential Middle Eastern dip that’s both versatile and delicious.

Ingredients
2 cups canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/3 cup tahini
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup olive oil, plus more for serving
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons water
Paprika for garnish
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
1. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, and garlic. Blend until coarsely chopped.
2. Add olive oil, cumin, and salt to the processor. Blend again until smooth and creamy.
3. If the mixture is too thick, add water gradually, one tablespoon at a time, and blend until desired consistency is achieved.
4. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
5. Transfer the hummus to a serving dish. Drizzle with olive oil, and garnish with paprika and parsley before serving.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Reheating
For best results, allow hummus to come to room temperature before serving, or reheat gently in a microwave for a few seconds if desired.
