Italian Heritage Meatballs

Classic Italian meatballs made with a blend of beef and pork, seasoned to perfection with herbs and spices, simmered in a rich tomato sauce.

Serves: 4

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground pork
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup milk
2 cups marinara sauce

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, garlic, Parmesan, parsley, eggs, oregano, salt, and pepper.
2. Gradually add milk and mix until just combined.
3. Form the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs.
4. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
5. Add marinara sauce to the skillet. Cover and simmer on low heat until meatballs are cooked through, about 20 minutes.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat in a skillet over low heat until warmed through or in the microwave.
