Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp dried culinary lavender
1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar, and dried lavender.
3. Add the chilled butter to the dry ingredients, using a pastry cutter or your fingers to work it into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
4. In a separate bowl, combine buttermilk, honey, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it comes together.
7. Roll the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness and use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits, placing them on the prepared baking sheet.
8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.

To reheat, warm in a 350°F oven for 5 minutes or until heated through.
