Homemade Chicken Nuggets

Skip the fast food and make these crispy, juicy chicken nuggets at home. They're healthier and just as tasty, sure to be a hit with picky eaters.

Ingredients

1 lb chicken breast
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp paprika
2 large eggs
2 cups panko breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

1. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.
2. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
3. In another bowl, beat the eggs.
4. In a third bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
5. Dredge each chicken piece in the flour mixture, then dip in the beaten eggs, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
6. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
7. Fry the chicken nuggets in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
8. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Storage

Store leftover chicken nuggets in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

To reheat, place the chicken nuggets on a baking sheet and warm in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes.
