Ingredients
4 bone-in pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 sprig fresh rosemary
1 sprig fresh thyme
Instructions
1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels, then season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
3. Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
4. Reduce heat to medium, add butter, garlic, rosemary, and thyme to the skillet.
5. Baste the pork chops with the melted butter and juices, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
6. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
